Utica, NY (12/3/14) – The Utica College men's hockey team is hosting Trinity College Friday night for the 10
th annual New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss. The Pioneers will then host Curry College Saturday night for Dunkin Donuts Night. The puck is set to drop at 7 p.m. for both games.
FRIDAY IS THE TEDDY BEAR TOSS: Friday night at the Aud will be the 10
th annual New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss … The contest is sold out for the fourth straight year, but it will be televised locally on WPNY Channel 12 on Time Warner Cable … Don't be late to the game! When Utica College scores their first goal, fans throw their teddy bears onto the ice. In 2009, the toss occurred only 1:28 into the first period and some late fans missed out … Bring a bunch of bears! For every NEW, CLEAN stuffed animal you donate, you will get a raffle ticket to win an awesome prize given away at the game … All of the toys collected by New York Sash are sorted and distributed to local charities through the WIBX-Keeler Toy Drive, which will include Operation Sunshine, House of the Good Shepherd and many more … If you're not attending the game, stop by Tony's AUDelicious Deli & Sports Bar on Friday night, where they'll be playing the game live! SATURDAY NIGHT IS DUNKIN' DONUTS NIGHT: The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Utica College branded $2 Dunkin Donuts card! JERSEY AUCTION: For the first time ever the Pioneers will dawn collector's edition Teddy Bear Toss jersey's during their games on December 5

th … The jerseys will be auctioned off over the course of the three games with all proceeds benefitting local charities throughout the holiday season …Fans can bid on the jersey's at the auction tables in the concourse throughout the contests … The auction winners will be announced at the Pioneers game against Morrisville on Thursday, December 11

TEDDY BEAR TOSS FUN FACTS: The 1st UC Teddy Bear Toss game was played on Dec. 6, 2005 against Hamilton and UC won 4-2 (1,713 fans attended) … UC is 7-1-1 all-time in Teddy Bear Toss games … The Pioneers have scored the first goal in every TBT game … The fastest goal scored was in 2009 when Tim Coffman netted a goal 1:28 into the contest … The last four TBT goal scorers' last names all begin with the letter "G". Graff, Garbutt, Gaffney & Garbutt … Three different players have scored the Teddy Bear Toss goal twice, including Colin Kingston (2005, 2006), Tim Coffman (2008, 2009) and

TRINITY COLLEGE REPORT: The Bantam's are 4-1-1 this year and are a perfect 2-0 on the road … Trinity has outscored opponents 36-11 and is coming off a 5-3 loss to UMass Boston … The Bantam's have a trio of players with nine points; Tyler Whitney (6G,3A), Ryan Cole (5G,4A), and John Hawkrigg (3G,6A) … Nathaniel Heilbron is the top goalie and has a record of 3-1-1 with 145 saves.
FIRST TIME: This will be the first time in program history that Utica will faceoff with Trinity … Utica and Trinity have played two common opponents this year; Hamilton College and Connecticut College … UC won both games, 5-3 and 5-1, respectively; Trinity beat Connecticut 7-2 but tied Hamilton 1-1 last weekend.
