Utica, NY (2/19/14) - The Utica College women's basketball team returns home this weekend for its final games of the 2013-14 campaign. UC squares off on Friday (8 p.m.) versus Empire 8 foe Nazareth College before taking on Houghton Saturday (5 p.m.) for an afternoon tip-off.

A Game for Brooks Miles: Saturday evening's game against Houghton will be the Pioneers' second annual "Game for Brooks Miles" … Brooks Miles Rorick was the son of Greg Rorick '98 and Angela Rorick, who passed away from heart complications shortly after he was born on April 1, 2008... Greg and his wife Angela are cousins of UC Women's Basketball Head Coach

Bridget Greenwald (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) pulled down eight rebounds each to pace UC … Four Ithaca Bombers scored in double figures to secure the win over UC … The victory was Ithaca's 20th of the season.
Grabbing the National Spotlight: Senior
Bridget Greenwald (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) currently ranks 33rd nationally in rebounding, averaging 11.2 per game… Greenwald has grabbed 257 rebounds on the season and currenlty leads the Empire 8 ... While averaging a double-double this season she has also posted 15+ boards on four different occasions.
As a Team: In Division III, the Pioneers are nationally ranked 79th out of 431 in rebound margin (5.3) and 112th in three-point field-goal percentage (31.6%).
Last Battle: This will be the second meeting between Utica and each of the two teams this year… On Jan. 17, UC lost on the road to Nazareth, 54-53 … On Feb. 11, the Pioneers lost 70-64 to Houghton.
Scouting Nazareth: The Golden Flyers are 9-15 overall and 3-10 in the conference … Last weekend, Naz beat Alfred at home 62-55 … The team is led by Lindsey Kelly who is averaging 14.2 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Scouting Houghton: The Highlanders are 7-16 overall on the season … Last weekend, Houghton lost to Stevens at home 60-51 after they were leading by eight points with 9:51 left in the game … The Highlanders are led in scoring and rebounds per game by Kristen Moose (19.9 ppg, 8.3 rpg).
