Men's Tennis Garners 1st Win of the Spring

Troy, NY (4-13-14) – The Utica College men's tennis team collected its first win of the spring season Sunday as it edged the Sage College's, 5-4, on the road at the Sage Tennis Courts.

Senior Daniel Fadden (Lakeland, NY/Bishop Ludden) and sophomore Raphael Warnon (Rock Tavern, NY/Washingtonville ) led UC with three points in the win as the duo won both of their singles matches and also posted a victory in doubles play. Sophomore Matt Rogers (East Syracuse, NY/Bishop Ludden) also won his singles match and was partnered with Warnon in doubles.

UC moves its overall mark to 2-7 and wraps up its three match road stint next Saturday when it journey's to Hoboken, NJ to face Stevens Institute of Technology (9-8, 6-0 Empire 8). Sage remains winless at 0-11 on the season will face Hartwick College Wednesday in Oneonta, NY.
