Ithaca 9, Utica 0 Final 

Ithaca, NY (4-2-14) – The Utica College men's tennis team lost its Empire 8 Conference opener, 9-0, Wednesday afternoon to host Ithaca College at the Wheeler Tennis Courts. Two-sport athlete, sophomore Raphael Warnon (Rock Tavern, NY/Washingtonville ), posted UC's only point in singles play against Ithaca's No. 1 Griffin Reid. Warnon partnered with senior Daniel Fadden (Lakeland, NY/Bishop Ludden) in doubles competition and grabbed one score however lost 8-1.

UC falls to 1-2 overall including a 0-1 mark in conference play and returns to action Thursday to host its home-opener against Oswego State.  Volley is set for 4 p.m. at the Utica College Tennis Courts. The Bombers improve to 3-5 on the season and even their league record at 1-1.  IC is back in action Saturday as it welcomes Hartwick to the Wheeler Courts for a noon start.
