Box Score Oneonta, NY (8/31/14)- Senior Hannah Mackey (Locke, NY/Moravia Central) had four goals and the Utica College field hockey team defeated the College of Wooster 7-3 Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.  Mackey now has seven goals in the past two games and has compiled 55 in her career. 
 
Despite falling down 1-0 within the first five minutes of the game, the Pioneers rebounded, scoring three goals in five minutes to take a 3-1 lead into half time.  The second half was also controlled by the Pioneers as they outscored the Fighting Scots 4-2 in the final 35 minutes. 
 
Seniors Louise Steele-Norton (Avondale, PA/Millbrook School), Chasity Eckert (Afton, NY/Afton Central), and Becki Vivacqua (Yorkville, NY/New York Mills Jr-Sr High) also scored for Utica and junior Kells Casey (Sandwich, MA/Kimball Union Academy) made two saves in the win.  UC outshot Wooster 16-5 on the afternoon. 
 
The Pioneers improve to 2-0 on the season.  They will return to action Saturday as they travel to New Paltz for a match up against the Hawks.  Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
