Kells Casey (Sandwich, MA/Kimball Union Academy) became the program's career saves leader as the Utica College field hockey team fell to host Hamilton College 4-1 in non-conference action Sunday afternoon. Casey now has 386 saves in her career, four more than the previous record holder, Amanda McDonnell '09.
This marks the first time in four years that Hamilton has beaten Utica. The Pioneers hold a 3-2 advantage in head-to-head meetings in the last five seasons. UC drops to 6-11 on the year, while the Continentals finish the regular season with a 9-6 record. Utica returns to action Saturday as it travels to Hartwick College. Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m.

Colleen Dowling (Fairport, NY/Fairport) brought the Pioneers within two in the 45th minute as she netted her fourth goal of the year, assisted by classmate
Tori Couture (Auburn, ME/Edward Little ). Dowling corralled Couture's pass off a penalty corner and rifled a shot inside the left post to make it 3-1. Hamilton responded just four minutes later as Dion netted her second of the day and seventh of the year to all but seal the victory.
Casey made nine saves in net for Utica, while her counterpart, Mary Kalb stopped five shots in the win.
