UTICA, NY – The Utica College men's soccer team is on the road Saturday as it takes on Empire 8 Conference rival St. John Fisher College. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
One of the Best in the E8: Shane Ruffing (Rochester, NY/Westborough) is ranked in the top five in the conference in almost every offensive category… He is ranked fifth in shots (35), shots per game (3.18), points (18), points per game (1.64), goals (seven), goals per game (.636), and assists per game (.364)… Ruffing is ranked fourth in the conference in assists (four)…He is only five points away from becoming the College's all-time points leader.

Bita Gazashvili (Tiblisi, Georgia), who has 11 points (three goals, five assists) and is ranked eighth in the conference in points, fifth in the conference in game winning goals (two), and third in the conference in assists per game (.455), and assists (five)…
Patrick Claffey (Burlington, CT/Lewis Mills) is third on the team with six points (two goals, two assists) while
John Burke (Commack. NY/Commack) and
Jordan Senay (Lockport, NY/Lockport) are both ranked fourth with four points.

Nick Hallett (Adams, NY/South Jefferson CSD) has started nine games in the net for the Pioneers while sophomore
Matthew Milograno (Marcy, NY/Whitesboro) has started three… Milograno has 14 saves and a save percentage of .700 on the year… Hallett has 52 saves and a save percentage of .754 on the year… Hallett is also ranked fourth in the conference in saves (52), and second in the conference in saves per game (5.78).
Scouting St. John Fisher: The Cardinals recently won their first game of the season on Wednesday night against Alfred State and are now 1-10 overall with an 0-3 Empire 8 record… Fisher is led by Bryan Rollins who has six points off of three goals so far this year.
Against The Cardinals: UC is 3-2 against Fisher in the last five years… The Pioneers have won the last two contests against the Cardinals, 3-0 in 2013 and 2-0 in 2014.
