UTICA, NY_- Senior Colleen Dowling (Fairport, NY/Fairport) of the Utica College field hockey team was named a Second Team ECAC All-Star for the Mid-Atlantic region, announced Thursday.
 
Dowling, who becomes the fourth player in the last three years to earn ECAC recognition, was a First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Region selection as well.  She finished her senior campaign tied for the team lead in points (17) and collected a team-best nine assists.  She totaled 67 points (19 goals, 29 assists) in 82 career games played at UC.  She ranks seventh all-time in total points and fourth in career assists.  Dowling was also instrumental in all three of Utica's Empire 8 Conference titles the Pioneers won during her four-year career.
 
UC wrapped up the 2015 season with a 7-11 record and narrowly missed out on the Empire 8 Conference Tournament with a 4-4 mark in league play.
