UTICA, NY – The Utica College women's basketball team will host Bard College on Saturday. The game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
 
Alumni Game: Before the 2 p.m. game the women's basketball team will host their annual Alumni Game at 11 a.m.
 
A Game For Brooks Miles: Saturday's game is the Pioneers' fourth annual "A Game For Brooks Miles" where they will help raise awareness and money for childhood cancer … Brooks Miles Rorick, son of Greg Rorick '98 and Angela Rorick, passed away from heart complications shortly after he was born on April 1, 2008.  Greg, a local podiatrist and Utica College Alum, and his wife Angela are cousins of UC Women's Basketball Head Coach Michele Davis … Coach Davis is the godmother to Brooks' brother, Cooper Rorick.
 
Last Time Out: UC was defeated by MCLA 62-36 on Wednesday night … MCLA came out of the gates to take a quick 16-4 lead after the first quarter and a 28-17 halftime lead … The Trailblazers would outscore Utica in the next two quarters 16-9 and 18-10 to secure the victory … The Pioneers fell to 2-4 after dropping their third straight game in a row.

Miceli's Milestone: Mary Miceli (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) had a team high eight points and three steals on Wednesday as she recently eclipsed the 1,000 point mark … Miceli now has 1,012 career points in 79 career games and is the 11^th player in program history to have more than 1,000 points … She has made 135 career 3-pointers and is one of six players in program history with 100+ career 3-pointers.

Home Sweet Home: UC is winless on the road this year and the current three game losing streak came on a three game road trip that wrapped up on Wednesday night … Utica is 2-0 at home with wins over SUNY Potsdam (72-46) and RPI (91-84) … The Pioneers play their next three games at home and hope to get back on track starting with Bard College on Saturday.
 
Leading The Way: Mary Miceli (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) leads the team with 15.5 points per game to go along with her nine steals and eight assists … Ashelyne Babb (Lynn, MA/Winthrop) is second on the team with 12.2 points per game to go along with her 14 steals and 11 assists … Miceli is fifth in the Empire 8 Conference in points per game, fourth in the conference in 3-point percentage (.366), and first in the E8 in 3-pointers per game (2.5).
 
Team Effort: UC has six players averaging more than five points per game …Calypso Carty (Pipersville, PA/Central Bucks West) is third on the team averaging 8.3 points per game to go along with 12 steals, six assists, and one block … Ashley Mayo (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) is fourth on the team averaging 7.2 points per game … Alaina Tripp (Clyde, NY/Clyde-Savannah) and Rachel Hunter (West Islip, NY/West Islip) are fifth and sixth on the team with 6.8 and 6.2 points per game respectively.
 
On The Boards: The Pioneers have five players with 20 or more total rebounds … Carty leads the team with 38 rebounds followed by Hunter who has 34 total rebounds … Miceli and Babb are third and fourth on the team with 27 and 26 rebounds respectively … Mayo is fifth on the team with 25 rebound so far this season.
 
Scouting Bard: The Raptors are 3-3 overall so far this season … Bard is coming off of a 50-43 victory over The City College of New York … The Raptors are led by Tytravia Riley who is averaging 21.3 points per game to go along with 103 total rebounds, 17 steals, and two blocks … Bianka Bell is second on the team averaging 15.3 points per game to go along with 32 rebounds and 12 assists.
 
Against The Raptors: UC is 0-1 against Bard College all-time … Utica lost to the Raptors last year 59-53.
