ROCHESTER, NY – The Utica College men's tennis team lost, 9-0, Sunday to Empire 8 rival St. John Fisher at the Mendon Racquet and Pool Club. UC was led by
Matt Rogers (East Syracuse, NY/Bishop Ludden) who helped gather three points in doubles play along with five total points in singles despite losing both.
The Pioneers fall to 0-4 including a 0-2 mark in Empire 8 play and return to the courts Tuesday to host Ithaca College in Verona, NY at the Turning Stone Tennis Courts. The match is set to start at 4 p.m.
The Cardinals move their overall season mark to 4-5 while opening up conference play with a 1-0 ledger. Fisher is back in action Saturday as it travels across town to face Nazareth at 4 p.m.
