VERONA, NY – The Utica College men's tennis team lost, 9-0, Tuesday to Ithaca College in Empire 8 play at the Turning Stone Tennis Courts.  The Pioneers were guided by Matt Rogers (East Syracuse, NY/Bishop Ludden) who tallied three points in singles and aided with two in doubles competition.  Rogers teamed up Dominick Trimarchi (Albany, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) in doubles play, however lost 8-2.

UC falls to 0-5 overall on the season including a 0-3 mark in Empire 8 action and returns to the court Monday to welcome The Sage Colleges.  The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. at the Utica College Tennis Courts.

Ithaca evens its overall record at 5-5-1 while improving to 2-0 in conference play.  The Bombers remain on the road as they travel to Hoboken, NJ Saturday for an E8 battle against Stevens Institute of Technology.  The contest is set for 10 a.m.
