UTICA, NY – The Utica College men's tennis team lost, 9-0, Saturday afternoon to Empire 8 rival Stevens Institute of Technology at the Utica College Tennis Courts. UC was led by Matt Rogers (East Syracuse, NY/Bishop Ludden) who recorded the only three points losing 6-1 and 6-1 in singles before falling 8-1 with partner Ryan Valle (Winthrop, ME/Winthrop High School) in doubles.

The Pioneers fall to 0-8 overall including a 0-6 mark in the Empire 8.  UC is right back in action Sunday as it welcomes The Sage Colleges for a non-conference match set for 1p.m.

Stevens improves to 14-5 overall while remaining undefeated in league play with a 6-0 mark.  The Ducks return to the courts Wednesday when they host No. 39 The College of New Jersey (3:30 p.m.).
