Rochester, NY (4/19/15)- The Utica College women's lacrosse team allowed 10 goals in the first half as it fell to host St. John Fisher College, 16-5 Sunday afternoon in Empire 8 Conference action.

The Pioneers drop to 8-3 overall and 3-3 in the conference. They have two games remaining, both in the E8. Next up, Utica will host Ithaca College on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Meanwhile, the Cardinals improve to 10-4 overall and they currently share the top spot in the conference with a 5-1 record.Â

Fisher jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first five and a half minutes, before sophomore
Rebecca Plunkett (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park) put Utica on the board with her 23rd goal of the season. Fisher scored 11 of the next 15 goals to collect the victory.Â
Patricia Kane (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) led the Pioneers with two goals, while
Megan Kane (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) and
Tori Couture (Auburn, ME/Edward Little ) each had one goal.
Morgan DuPont (Wynantskill, NY/Averill Park) and
Brooke Miller (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) chipped in with one assist apiece.Â

Juniors
Kells Casey (Sandwich, MA/Kimball Union Academy) and
Erin Jacobson (Staten Island, NY/Curtis) combined for eight saves in the loss, while Nicole Hart and Jenn Carter totaled nine saves for the Cardinals.Â
