POTSDAM, NY- The Utica College women's soccer team was shut out for just the second time this season as it fell to host SUNY Potsdam, 3-0, in non-conference action Saturday evening.
Potsdam got on the board in the 25
th minute as Erin McClusky netted her third goal of the year, assisted by Chloe Hay. The Bears added an insurance goal at 38:22 as Olivia Seamus netted her team-leading fifth of the season off an assist from Sami Hubinsky.
The host team capped off the scoring in the 69
th minute as Brooke Falsion found the back of the net for her fourth of the season. The Bears outshot Utica 13-3 on the day and held an 8-0 advantage on corner kicks.
Jamie Enders (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) and
Kimberly Beattie (Levitton, NY/Division Ave) each had three saves in 45 minutes of work for the Pioneers.
UC (2-3-2) opens up Empire 8 Conference play Tuesday as it hosts Hartwick College. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
