ONEONTA, NY - The Utica College women's tennis team lost, 9-0, Tuesday afternoon to Empire 8 rival Hartwick College at the Hartwick Courts.   The Pioneers won ten games in the loss led by Lu Lu Zhang (Wenzhou, China /Newcomers) who had a hand in six of those wins.
 
Zhang won four games in the fourth spot of singles and teamed up with Gabriella Morreeale in doubles play and won two games, however lost 8-2. 
 
UC drops to 0-6 overall on the season including a 0-4 mark in league play.  Utica returns home on Saturday to host non-conference foe Wells College at the Utica College Tennis Courts.  The match is set for 1 p.m.
 
The Hawks set a school-record as they improved to 7-0 on the season while remaining perfect at 4-0 in the Empire 8.  HC returns to action Saturday when it heads to Rochester, NY to face St. John Fisher College (1 p.m.).
