ROCHESTER, NY- The nationally ranked No. 14 University of Rochester proved to be too much for the Utica College field hockey team as the Pioneers fell 3-0 in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets opened the scoring with just over six minutes left in the first half and tacked on two more scores in the second stanza to improve to 16-3 on the year. The Pioneers wrap up the season with a 5-13 overall record and a 4-4 mark in the Empire 8 Conference. This marks the ninth straight season that UC has finished .500 or better in conference play.

U of R held a 13-0 advantage in penalty corners and outshot the Pioneers 12-0. Junior
Samantha Whitehouse (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich) totaled nine saves for Utica in the loss. Whitehouse finished the season with 163 saves, which ranks second in the College's single-season record book. UC bids farewell to seniors
