LAST TIME OUT: In their last contest, the Pioneers lost to SUNY Poly 76-69... Junior Ashelyne Babb (Lynn, MA/Winthrop) led the team with a season-high 19 points and she added four steals... Sophomore Rachel Hunter (West Islip, NY/West Islip) and junior Ashley Mayo (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) also scored double digits, adding 15 and 13 points, respectively… Junior Alaina Tripp (Clyde, NY/Clyde-Savannah) was one point shy of a double-double, finishing with nine points and 10 rebounds... Despite solid games from multiple players, Utica had a hard time stopping SUNY Poly's Stevie Ray and Kristaijah Jackson... Ray finished with 34 points while Jackson recorded a double-double with 25 points and 18 rebounds… With the loss, the Pioneers record dropped to 1-2 so far this season.
 
LEADING THE WAY: Junior Ashelyne Babb (Lynn, MA/Winthrop) leads the team with 15.7 points per game… She also ranks first in the Empire 8 Conference with 4.3 steals per game and she is third in the E8 with 4.7 assists per game.
 
SCOUTING HAMILTON: The Continentals are 0-3 to start the season and they are coming off a 74-55 loss to SUNY Poly last Tuesday… Junior Lauren Getman leads the team with 8.3 points per game.
 
AGAINST THE CONTINENTALS: Utica is 1-4 against Hamilton in the last five years… Utica's last win against the Continentals came on Dec. 3, 2011 by the score of 48-44… Last year, Hamilton used a 15-5 run midway through the fourth quarter of play to down UC 66-64… Ashelyne Babb (Lynn, MA/Winthrop) finished the afternoon with ten points, six rebounds and four assists… Calypso Carty (Pipersville, PA/Central Bucks West) added eight points, six rebounds and four steals, while Alaina Tripp (Clyde, NY/Clyde-Savannah) netted four points, grabbed four rebounds and posted three steals.
