UTICA, NY – The nationally-ranked No. 13/14 Utica College men's hockey team is unbeaten through four games for the third time in program-history after a 5-1 win in ECAC West Conference play against visiting Manhattanville College on Saturday night. Utica's Jarrod Fitzpatrick (Wakefield, MA/Northern Cyclones (EHL)) netted a career-high two goals -- giving him three in his last two games -- while junior Roman Ammirato (Williamstown, NJ/Union College (ECAC)) added one goal and two assists as the Pioneers completed the conference weekend sweep with wins over Neumann and Manhattanville.

Utica is now 4-0 overall and 2-0 in ECAC West play and the Pioneers return to action next Saturday at 1 p.m. when they take on conference newcomer Lebanon Valley at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.  Saturday's contest is game four of a five game home stand for the Pioneers.

Justin Derlago (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Selkirk (MJHL)) and Easton Powers (South Lyon, MI/Port Huron (NAHL)) each added two assists on the evening, while Mikhail Bushinski (Woodbury, MN/Kenai River (NAHL)) chipped in with one goal and one assist.  Luc Boby (Chicago, IL/Kalamazoo (NAHL)) also netted his first goal of the young season for the Pioneers who have scored at least five goals in each of their first four games.

Utica junior transfer goalie Henry Dill (Columbus, OH/UMASS (Hockey East)) made 30 saves on the afternoon as he picked up his second win in a Pioneer uniform.

Fitzpatrick got the Pioneers on the board just 1:40 into the contest when he netted his first of two goals, assisted by Easton Powers (South Lyon, MI/Port Huron (NAHL)) and Anthony McVeigh (Kemptville, Ontario/Carleton Place (CCHL)). Boby then put the Pioneers on top 2-0 after a breakaway goal 4:43 into the second period, assisted by Riley Egan (Lakewood, OH/Philadelphia (EHL)) and Justin Derlago (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Selkirk (MJHL))

Manhattanville made it a 2-1 contest when Bryan Platt netted his first of the season, assisted by Nolan Marshall and Marco Ferraro at 12:54 of the second period.

Utica added three third period goals to seal the four goal victory.  Roman Ammirato (Williamstown, NJ/Union College (ECAC)) netted his team-best fourth goal of the season, on the power-play, 1:49 into the third period. The assists went to Mikhail Bushinski (Woodbury, MN/Kenai River (NAHL)) and Justin Derlago (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Selkirk (MJHL)) as Utica took a 3-1 lead.

Bushinski then got in on the action when Alex Roberts (Burnaby, British Columbia/Brooks Bandits (AJHL)) slid a beautiful pass across ice and Bushinski back handed home his first of the season to give UC a three goal lead. Ammirato was also credited with an assist on the Pioneers fourth goal of the game.

UC capped the scoring on the evening when Fitzpatrick netted his third goal in two nights, assisted by Ammirato and Powers, to secure the 5-1 victory for Utica.
