ITHACA, NY- The Utica College women's basketball team fell to host Ithaca College, 71-44, in Empire 8 Conference action Friday evening at Ithaca's Ben Light Gymnasium.

Sophomore
Alaina Tripp (Clyde, NY/Clyde-Savannah) led Utica with 10 points and added five rebounds, including a team-best four off the offensive glass. Senior
Mary Miceli (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) totaled nine points on two three-pointers and 3-of-4 free throws, while sophomores
Ashley Mayo (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) and
Ashelyne Babb (Lynn, MA/Winthrop) combined for 12 points. Babb also added a team-high seven boards.Â
Calypso Carty (Pipersville, PA/Central Bucks West),
Rachel Hunter (West Islip, NY/West Islip) and
Maggie Tabone (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) also scored for UC.Â

Ithaca had three players score in the double-digits, led by Allie Tunick's 13 points. Shayna Gaskins, meanwhile, collected a game-high 13 rebounds to lead the Bomber defense.Â

The Pioneers (8-16, 3-12 Empire 8) return to action Saturday for their season finale at Nazareth College. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. Ithaca (14-10, 10-5 E8)  will take on Hartwick College, also at 4 p.m. in its last tune up before the Empire 8 Conference Tournament.Â
