Last Time Out: UC went 1-1 over the weekend in conference play …  Utica beat Elmira College 75-74 in the last second of play on a buzzer beater by Robert Tutein (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) that was second on ESPN's top 10 plays on Friday … On Saturday the Pioneers fell 92-82 against Houghton.
 
Climbing The Record Books: Tutein is fifth all-time in the College's record books in 3-pointers … He has 143 career 3-pointers after making three from 3-point land over the weekend … He needs 16 more 3-pointers to pass Conor Maisch (Kingston, NY/John A. Coleman) 15' for fourth all-time … He is one of eight players in program-history to make 100 or more 3-pointers in a career … Tutein now has 781 points in 82 career games at UC … He is first on the team and seventh in the E8 in points per game (17.5), he is eighth in the conference in minutes per game (31.6), eighth in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (.399), sixth in the conference in 3-pointers per game (2.9), and fifth in the conference in blocks per game (1.1).
 
Helping Out: Agim Hamiti (Prishtina, Kosovo/Syracuse Academy of Science) is second on the team averaging 11.6 points per game while Carl Taylor (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) is fifth on the team averaging 7.4 points per game … Hamitit has played in 13 of 18 games this year and is third on the team in steals (15), assists (26), and total rebounds (74) ... Taylor is first on the team in assists (57), second on the team in rebounds (89), and second on the team in steals (17).
 
Iton's Big Weekend: On Friday Ivan Iton (Ossining, NY/Ossining) led the team with 16 points and had six rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal … On Saturday he had a career high 24 points and added 12 rebounds, and three assists … Iton is third on the team averaging 10.8 points per game … He leads the team with 163 rebounds and has chipped in 32 assists, 20 blocks, and 11 steals on the year … Iton is sixth in the conference in blocks per game (1.0), and ninth in the conference in rebounds per game (8.2).
 
Scouting St. John Fisher: The Cardinals are 15-5 overall with a 9-2 conference record … Fisher is coming off of a 88-82 OT victory over conference opponent Nazareth College … The Cardinals are led by Ryan Keegan (17.5 points per game, 201 rebounds, 11 blocks, 23 assists, and five steals) and Tyler Hart (15.6 ppg, 51 assists, 46 rebounds, 17 steals, and three blocks).
 
Against The Cardinals: UC lost to St. John Fisher 94-68 on the road earlier this month …The Pioneers are 1-9 against St. John Fisher over the last five years not including this years loss … The Cardinals swept UC last year with victories of 100-65 and 68-47 … The last time Utica beat St. John Fisher was a 72-64 road victory in the 2011-2012 season.
