UTICA, NY – The Utica College women's lacrosse team hosts Skidmore College on Wednesday at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium. Wednesday's game marks just the second time in program-history that UC has opened a season with three consecutive home games. The first draw control is scheduled for 5 p.m.
Last Time Out: The Pioneers wrapped up the American Heart Association Tournament on Sunday with a 1-1 overall record in the three day season opening tournament at Gaetano Stadium … UC fell to Buffalo State 17-11 on Friday afternoon and came back with a 9-4 win over Albright College on Sunday afternoon.
Leading The Way: Utica has nine players with at least one point and has three players with four or more points … Junior

In The Net: Erin Jacobson (Staten Island, NY/Curtis) and
Kells Casey (Sandwich, MA/Kimball Union Academy) have each played in one game this year … Jacobson started game one while Casey started game two … Casey ranks third in the conference in save percentage (.636), and is fourth in the conference in goals against average (4.00) and saves per game (7.00).
Scouting Skidmore: The Thoroughbreds are 1-1 overall so far this season … Skidmore defeated Hartwick College 14-4 in the season opener and lost to Babson College 11-10 on Saturday March 5
th … The Thoroughbreds are led by Tyler Phillips (11 points off of nine goals and two assists) and Cas Szwajkowski (seven points off of seven goals) … In net for Skidmore is Megan Kolopsky (1-1 record, 15 saves, .500 save percentage, 15 goals against, and a 7.83 goals against average).
