UTICA, NY – The Utica College men's tennis team fell to visiting Empire 8 Conference opponent Hartwick on Saturday 7-2.
Kevin Vo (Utica, NY/Proctor) and
Matt Rogers (East Syracuse, NY/Bishop Ludden) led the team with a singles victory a piece. Vo won in two straight sets 6-1, 6-1 while Rogers won 6-3 and 7-5.
Edgar Aguilar (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) won six games over two sets falling 6-3, 6-3 while
Jacob Nigolian (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) won four games over two sets (6-3,6-1).
Raphael Warnon (Rock Tavern, NY/Washingtonville) won three games (0-6, 3-6) while
Paul Litvak (Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln) earned a victory in two games over two sets (6-1,6-1).
In Doubles the team of Vo and Warnon fell 8-6 while Rogers and Nigolian fell 9-7. The third doubles team of Litvak and Aguilar lost 8-4.
The Pioneers return to action Wednesday when they host Oswego in non-conference action. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m.
