UTICA, NY – The Utica College men's tennis team travels to Oswego for a non-conference matchup. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: Utica fell to Empire 8 Conference opponent Elmira College 9-0 on Saturday … Kevin Vo (Utica, NY/Proctor) forced a tie breaker after splitting the first two sets 6-2, 4-6 but fell 1-0 in the extra game … Utica is now 0-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
 
Standout Players: Vo leads the men's tennis team with one singles victory against Houghton and he has won 21 games this season … Raphael Warnon (Rock Tavern, NY/Washingtonville) is second on the team winning 13 games this season while Matt Rogers (East Syracuse, NY/Bishop Ludden) is third on the team winning 12 games … The team of Vo and Warnon lead Utica in doubles action with nine games won but have yet to win a doubles match this season.
 
Scouting Oswego: The Lakers are 6-2 overall including a 4-1 home record and a 2-1 away record … Oswego is coming off of a 5-4 loss to St. John Fisher on Thursday … Senior Alex McCarthy and freshman Sam McGrath lead the Lakers in singles and doubles action.
 
Against Oswego: UC is 1-3 against the Lakers in the last four meetings … Utica last beat Oswego 7-2 in the 2012-2013 season.
 
Looking Ahead: The Pioneers return to action this weekend when they host two Empire 8 opponents … On Friday UC hosts Nazareth College while on Saturday Utica hosts St. John Fisher … The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
