OSWEGO, NY- The nationally ranked No. 8/9 Oswego State Lakers used two goals in the second period to down the Utica College women's hockey team 2-0 in ECAC West Conference action Friday evening.
After a scoreless first period, the home team got on the board at 17:05 of the second period as Andrea Noss netted her fifth of the year. The Lakers added an insurance tally just 42 seconds later as Kendall Appelbaum scored on the power play for her fifth of the year as well. Alli Ulrich, Olivia Ellis, Julieann White, and Eryn Stewart each totaled one assist on the evening.

Keira Goin (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Hotchkiss School) made 22 saves in net, while her counterpart, Mariah Madrigal had 25 saves in the shutout.
Utica falls to 7-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference, while Oswego improves to 12-2 and 6-1 in the ECAC West. The teams wrap up the season series Saturday in Utica. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
