Albany, NY- The Utica College men's soccer team out shot host Sage College 16-13 over the course of 110 minutes but the final horn sounded with the score knotted at 0-0 after two overtime periods in Empire 8 Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Utica's record moved to 6-9-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the Empire 8 while Sage is now 7-4-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the Empire 8. The Pioneers have now taken a contest to double overtime for the second straight game, coming up just short in the second overtime in a 1-0 loss at Hamilton College on Wednesday.

Jonathan Side (Plattsburgh, NY/Plattsburgh) picked up six saves as for the Pioneers, while Sage's junior goalie Michael Chiaravalloti made six saves in the game.
Both teams earned six corner kicks on the afternoon. The Pioneers laid the pressure on heavy in the second half as they out shot the Gators 11-8 in the second 45 minute period. The Pioneers also made a late push by outshooting Sage 4-1 in the final overtime period.
UC wraps up a three game road trip next Saturday when the Pioneers travel to Houghton College for an Empire 8 Conference matchup at noon.
