UTICA, NY- The Utica College volleyball team remains home Tuesday as it hosts local rival, Hamilton College.  Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT: The Pioneers are coming off a pair of 3-0 wins against Bryn Mawr and SUNY Delhi on Saturday… Nicole Herringshaw (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) led the Pioneers with 19 kills and she also added eight blocks over the course of two victories…  Hannah Voss (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) had another stellar overall performance as she posted 17 kills, 18 digs and 11 aces…  Briana Toledo (Ardsley, NY/Ardsley) totaled 21 digs and seven aces, while Marissa Faroni (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) posted a team-high 23 assists, to go along with 11 digs and four aces on the day…  Jessica Macheda (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) chipped in with 20 total assists.
 
LEADING THE WAY: Junior Nicole Herringshaw (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) leads the team and ranks second in the Empire 8 with 81 blocks on the year… Herringshaw is also second in the conference with an average of .98 blocks per set… She needs just one more block to reach a new single-season career high… Herringshaw also has a team-high 196 kills this season.
 
ACED IT: Junior Hannah Voss (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) leads the team and ranks fourth in the E8 with 46 service aces… Voss also has a team-best 268 digs and she is second on the squad with 142 kills.
 
HELPING OUT: Junior Marissa Faroni (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) has collected a career-high 317 assists so far, while freshman Jessica Macheda (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) has chipped in 139 assists… Senior Abigail Mosenthin (Dolgeville, NY/Dolgeville) is second on the team in digs (229) and service aces (19).
 
SCOUTING HAMILTON: The Continentals are 10-5 overall and 6-3 in the NESCAC… They are coming off a 3-1 win over Trinity on Saturday… Hamilton has three players with over 100 kills on the year, led by senior Courtney Brown (143)… Margaret O'Brien leads the team with 67 blocks and 1.16 blocks per set.
 
AGAINST THE CONTINENTALS: Utica is 0-3 against Hamilton in the last five years… The last time these two teams met was Oct. 19, 2015, when Hamilton came away with a 3-0 victory…  During the game, Lora Allen, who is currently an assistant coach for the Pioneers, recorded her 2,000^th assist, becoming the first player in program history to reach the milestone.
 
LOOKING AHEAD: The Pioneers will travel to Nazareth on Saturday for the final Empire 8 pod of the year… UC will take on Alfred University at 1:30 p.m. before taking on Nazareth at 4 p.m.
