UTICA, NY- The Utica College women's basketball team returns to action Monday as it travels to nearby Clinton, NY to take on local rival, Hamilton College. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT: Oneonta handed the Pioneers their first loss of the season last Tuesday as the Red Dragons came away with a 60-40 victory… Ashley Mayo (Bronx, NY/Nanuet) finished the night with a team-high 10 points to go along with two rebounds and two assists. Junior Briannah Florian (Fort Plain, NY/Fort Plain) added eight points and three rebounds, while freshman Brigid Johndrow (Bristol, CT/St. Paul Catholic) added five points and four rebounds… Nicole Herringshaw (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) came off the bench and netted a career-high four points and grabbed three rebounds.
 
LEADING THE WAY: Senior Alaina Tripp (Clyde, NY/Clyde-Savannah) leads the team with 11.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game… In Utica's win against Wells earlier this season, Tripp registered a career-high 20 points and added 12 rebounds… She is also tied for first on the team with a total of five steals so far this year.
 
HELPING OUT: Senior Ashelyne Babb (Lynn, MA/Winthrop) is second on the team with 9.7 points per game… Babb leads the squad with an average of 4.3 assists per game, which ranks fourth among the assist leaders in the Empire 8… Ashley Mayo (Bronx, NY/Nanuet) currently averages 8.7 points per game for the Pioneers … Mayo is the team's top 3-point shooter so far, as she has shot 4-for-9 from deep, owning a 3-point percentage of 44.4%.
 
SCOUTING HAMILTON: The Continentals are currently undefeated, with a record of 3-0 to start their season… The team most recently was victorious over SUNY Poly, by a score of 58-49… Carly O'Hern led the way with 18 points, while Lauren Getman finished with 12 points and 12 boards to record the double-double… Getman is averaging a double-double, with per game numbers of 13 points and 11 rebounds.
 
LOOKING AHEAD: The Pioneers will be back to work on Wednesday for another away contest, as they face Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. The game is set to tip-off at 5:30 p.m.
