ROCHESTER, NY- The Utica College volleyball team dropped the opening game of the University of Rochester Tournament as it fell to the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford 3-0 Friday evening.
 
The Panthers controlled the majority of play as they won 25-6, 25-13, and 25-9 for the straight-set victory.  Junior 
Nicole Herringshaw (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) led UC with four kills, and she also tied for the team-lead with two blocks.  Junior 
Miranda Stockbridge (Waterville, NY/Waterville) and sophomore 
Lindsey Hannel (Victor, NY/Victor) also record two blocks on the day, with Stockbridge and 
Allison Della Penna (Batavia, NY/Batavia) tied for second on the squad with two kills. 
 
Junior 
Marissa Faroni (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) totaled a team-best nine assists, and classmate 
Hannah Voss (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) led the squad with eight digs.
 
The Pioneers return to action Saturday as they take on Frostburg State (2 p.m.) and Wells College (4 p.m.)
