UTICA, NY – Utica College field hockey senior Rylee Meelan (Clinton, NY/Clinton), was selected to participate in the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Senior Game, announced Wednesday.
 
Meelan is one of 60 players from around the country who will play in the all-star game on Saturday, Nov. 18, located at Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Manheim, PA. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.  This marks the second year in a row that a Utica College student-athlete was selected to participate in the game, as 2018 graduate Samantha Whitehouse (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich) was chosen last year. 
 
Meelan leads the team and shares the Empire 8 lead with 16 goals this season. She is averaging over a goal per game through 14 contests. Meelan is currently ranked fifth all-time with 41 career goals and her 93 career points rank sixth all-time at UC. 
 
The Pioneers (5-9, 2-3 Empire 8) are coming off a 4-1 victory over Skidmore College, thanks in part to a hat trick by Meelan. UC will face Elmira College on Saturday in an Empire 8 action. The game is set to begin at 11 a.m. at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium.
