Hoboken, NJ – The Utica College women's soccer team traveled to play Stevens on Saturday for an Empire 8 matchup to close out the regular season. The Pioneers finish the regular season 10-6-2 overall and 5-2-1 in the conference after losing, 6-0.
The Ducks had control of the match from early on, as two first half goals gave them a 2-0 lead heading into halftime. Utica was outshot 16-0 in the first 45 minutes of play.
Stevens continued to roll in the second half with four more unanswered scores to secure the 6-0 result. The team is now 13-2 overall and 8-0 in E8 play, and is a lock for the number one seed to host the conference tournament next weekend.
The Pioneers are back in action on Friday, November 2
nd, for the opening round of the Empire 8 Conference Tournament. UC will take on the third seeded Hartwick Hawks in the E8 Semifinals, for a chance to play in the conference championship game.
