UTICA, NY -- Hamilton's Jack Sheehan took a perfect through ball from Jeff Plump and beat Utica goalie Randy Miksch (Lake Villa, IL/Warren Township) at 32:28 of the first half to account for the lone goal of the contest as the visiting Continentals earned a 1-0 decision against Utica College on the turf at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium. 

It was an evenly contested match as Hamilton earned a narrow edge in both shots (10-7) and corner kicks (4-2).  The Continentals (6-4 overall) snapped the Pioneers two-game win streak. 
 
UC's record moves to 4-6-1 on the year and the Pioneers now look toward the weekend where they will host Empire 8 rival Sage College at Gaetano Stadium on Saturday at 7 p.m. Five of the Pioneers six losses this season have come by just one goal. 

Miksch made five stops on the afternoon for the Pioneers, while Hamilton goalie Thomas Benson stopped three shots in the victory. Tucker Marvin (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) led the way for the Pioneers with three shots.
