Utica 1, McDaniel 9 (5 Innings)- Game One Final
The Green Terror jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and tacked on four more runs before Utica was finally able to get on the board in the top of the fifth inning thanks to an RBI single by Madison Akots (Wynantskill, NY/Emma Willard School).  McDaniel responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning to earn the run-rule victory.

Sabrina Stransky (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place), Nicole Rice (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South), and Jacqueline Aronin (Naugatuck, CT/Naugatuck High School) were each 2-for-3 at the plate to pace the Pioneers, while Sadie Evans (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) and Hayley Fredericks (Suffern, NY/Suffern) also had hits for Utica.  Stransky, Gabby Caccamo (Suffern, NY/Suffern) and Alyssa Samborin (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) all saw action in the circle, with Stransky shouldering the loss.
