ELMIRA, NY- The Utica College women's hockey team was eliminated from the UCHC Conference tournament as it fell to host and No. 1 seed Elmira College 7-1 Saturday afternoon.

The Pioneers wrap up their season with a 15-10-2 overall record.  This marks the eighth time Utica has won at least 15 games in a season in program history.  UC, which was making its 15th trip to the conference semifinals, had its unbeaten streak snapped at nine games, matching the longest such streak in program history.

Trailing 2-0 in the first period, senior Taylor Osowski (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects) got Utica on the board with her ninth of the season.  Elizabeth Dohner (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects) and Meghan Power (Windsor, Ontario/Southwest Wildcats) assisted on the goal.

Elmira went on to score five unanswered goals to advance to the championship on Sunday against the winner of the Stevenson – William Smith semifinal.

Utica goalies Bria Reilly (Hamden, CT/Brewster Academy), Kayla Rios (Dexter, NY/Northern Cyclones), and Amanda Lupo (Auburn, NY/Skaneateles) combined for 36 saves in the loss, while Elmira's Kelsey Crawford made 12 saves in the win.  Elmira was 1-for-7 on the power play while Utica was scoreless on one man advantage.

The Pioneers will bid farewell to nine seniors, including Carlie Smith (Grimsby, Ontario/St. Catharine's Chaos), Taylor Osowski (Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects), and Veronique Lortie (Chambly, Quebec/Berkshire School), who played in all 109 games in their careers.  Kelly Critzer (West Salem, OH/Ohio Flames), Emily Holtshouser (Manchester, NH/Middlesex Islanders), Amanda Lupo (Auburn, NY/Skaneateles), Samantha Husak (Jackson, MI/Belle Tire), Jennifer Arts (Lakeside, Ontario/London Devilettes), and Meghan Power (Windsor, Ontario/Southwest Wildcats) have also fulfilled their eligibility.
