Sabrina Whitehouse (Greenwich, NY/Greenwich) scored the game-winner with just 4:56 remaining in regulation to guide the Utica College field hockey team to a 4-3 win over Oneonta in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.

The Red Dragons got on the board first at 13:22 of the first half as Grace Bilow put in a feed from Allyson Wells. The Pioneers were able to even the score with just 1:01 remaining in the first half as senior
Rylee Meelan (Clinton, NY/Clinton) scored an unassisted tally for her first of the year.

Oneonta again took a one-goal lead, this time at 57:04, as Emily Raymond found the back of the cage off an assist by Bilow. Just 24 seconds later senior
Maria Orsino (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit) scored an unassisted tally of her own to tie the game at 2-2. Meelan gave Utica its first lead of the game at 58:19 as she netted her second of the day, assisted by
Joanna Gaertner (Schuylerville, NY/Schuylerville).Â

Oneonta tied it back up at 64:44 as the Red Dragons were awarded a penalty stroke, that Carissa Warren converted on. It was short-lived however, as Whitehouse netted the game winner just 20 seconds later, thanks to Gaertner's second assist of the day.

Megan Chamberlain (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) made 13 saves to pick up her first collegiate win, while her counterpart, Danell jones made nine saves in the loss.

The Pioneers return to action Wednesday as they travel to Ithaca College. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
