COBLESKILL, NY- The Utica College volleyball team picked up its second straight win Thursday as it downed host SUNY Cobleskill 3-1 in non-conference action.

After falling down 1-0 after the first set, the Pioneers responded to take win the next three and come away with the victory.

Senior
Nicole Herringshaw (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) had a season-high 18 kills to lead the way for Utica. Herringshaw also led the squad with four blocks on the evening.Â
Meaghan Romaguera (Stone Ridge, NY/Rondout) aided the offense with nine kills on the evening, while
Megan Rice (Leverett, MA/Amherst Regional) had five.

Marissa Faroni (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) totaled a game-high 17 assists, while
Jenna Prewasnicak (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) had 13 assists and
Hannah Voss (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) chipped in with three. Voss also totaled a season-high 21 digs in the win, while Romaguera had 18 digs, and
Kurstan Martin (Owego, NY/Tioga) had 16. Martin also added a team-best three service aces.

The Pioneers (2-9) will look to carry their momentum into an Empire 8 pod on Saturday at Elmira College. The Pioneers will face the Soaring Eagles at 12 p.m. before facing the Sage Gators at 2:30 p.m.
