Box Score MARCY, NY- The Utica College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision Friday night as it fell to cross town rival, SUNY Poly in non-conference action.

After falling down 2-0, Utica battled back to win the third set 25-23. The Pioneers got out to a quick start in the fourth set, but the Wildcats came back to win 25-19 and take the match.

Senior
Nicole Herringshaw (Syracuse, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) led the Pioneers with 15 kills, while
Meaghan Romaguera (Stone Ridge, NY/Rondout) and
Miranda Stockbridge (Waterville, NY/Waterville) each had five kills. Herringshaw and Stockbridge each totaled two blocks on the day as well.

Hannah Voss (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) led the way on defense as she totaled 15 digs, while Romaguera and
Marissa Faroni (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) each had nine digs. Faroni also aided the offense with a team-best 22 assists.

The Pioneers return to action Wednesday as they host St. John Fisher College in an Empire 8 Conference contest. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
