The Utica College men's soccer team lost to host Clarkson University 2-0 in non-conference action at Hantz Field in Potsdam, NY on Wednesday night. Clarkson netted a goal just 54 seconds before the half and took a 2-0 lead 8:21 into the second half of play to earn the two goal victory.
Clarkson (3-0) remained unbeaten on the season, while Utica's record moved to 1-2 overall. The Pioneers will host SUNY Cobleskill and Oswego State on Saturday and Sunday for a two-game weekend set at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium.
Clarkson earned a 16-7 shot advantage on the afternoon and the Golden Knights also secured a 5-3 advantage in corner kick opportunities.

Jonathan Side (Plattsburgh, NY/Plattsburgh) for his first goal of the season, assisted by Aidan Subra, in the 44
th minute of the first half. Stephen Klimek then closed the door early in the first half as he gave the home team a 2-0 lead. Kilmek's goal was assisted by Drew Lewis.
Jonathan Side (Plattsburgh, NY/Plattsburgh) stopped seven shots in net for the Pioneers, while Ian Roeloffs made four saves in net for the Golden Knights.
Utica's
Nicolas Diaz (Commack, NY/Commack) led the Pioneers with three shots on goal.
