Utica, NY – The Utica College women's basketball team played Stevens at home on Friday night for an Empire 8 contest. The Pioneers were unable to match the play of the Ducks, falling by a score of 68-38.<br />

Freshman
Sydney Przygoda (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) worked hard on the glass, grabbing a game-high 17 rebounds. She finished with 13 points as well, securing her 11<sup>th</sup> double-double of the season.
Nicolette Conkin (Los Altos, CA/Homestead) and
Brigid Johndrow (Bristol, CT/St. Paul Catholic) combined for 11 points in the loss.<br />

Stevens took a commanding lead early on, holding a 20-4 advantage at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. The visiting Ducks improved to 12-6 overall and 7-2 in Empire 8 play after winning their fifth in a row. Anna Toke double-doubled for the team on 11 points and 10 rebounds.<br />

The Pioneers now stand at 6-11 overall and 1-7 against E8 opponents this season. They will have a chance to bounce back tomorrow at home against Nazareth College.<br />

Tip-off for Saturday's matchup with the Golden Flyers is scheduled for 2 p.m.
