UTICA, NY- The Utica College volleyball team wrapped up the 2019 campaign Wednesday is it fell to visiting SUNY Delhi 3-0 in non-conference action.
Junior
Meaghan Romaguera (Stone Ridge, NY/Rondout) led the Utica attack with seven kills, while
Kurstan Martin (Owego, NY/Tioga) had six kills and
Lindsey Hannel (Victor, NY/Victor) chipped in with three. Freshman
McKenna LaPorte (Liverpool, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse ) led the Pioneers with three service aces on the evening. Freshman
Brenna Stanton (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango) aided the offense with a team-best 10 assists, while
Rosemarie Fesko (Goshen, NY/Central) was right behind her with nine assists of her own.
Defensively, freshman
Cameron Boehlert (Utica, NY/Whitesboro ) led the way with 11 digs, while Romaguera and Stanton each had seven digs to their credit.
Prior to Wednesday's game, the Pioneers held a special ceremony to honor their three seniors-
Lindsey Hannel (Victor, NY/Victor),
Monique Fletcher (Waterford, CT/Norwich Free Academy), and
Holly Kalil (Inlet, NY/Town of Webb), who played in their final collegiate game.
