UTICA - The Utica College women's basketball team returns home to Miga Court at the Harold T. Clark Athletic Center on Tuesday to take on the Sage Colleges for the final time this season.  Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: The Pioneers dropped a 63-49 decision to St. John Fisher in Rochester last Tuesday... Sydney Przygoda (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) had a double-double in the game with 21 points and 12 rebounds... Brigid Johndrow (Bristol, CT/St. Paul Catholic) finished with 12 points and added six rebounds, while point guard Nicolette Conkin (Los Altos, CA/Homestead) chipped in with seven points and three assists in 40 minutes of work… Kimberly Soriano (Queens, NY/Monsignor McClancey Memorial) added seven points in her sixth straight start, while forward Briannah Florian (Fort Plain, NY/Fort Plain) recorded six rebounds.
 
Give You A Hand: Junior Nicolette Conkin (Los Altos, CA/Homestead) currently leads the Empire 8 conference in assists with 88 and she is second in assists per game with 4.6… Conkin is second on the team with 10.5 points per game and 30 steals on the season.
 
Owning the Boards: Freshman Sydney Przygoda (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) currently leads the Empire 8 in with 12.4 rebounds per game… She also has a team-high 14.4 points per game… Przygoda is the first freshman to lead the team in scoring in over 10 years. 
 
Soriano Stepping Up: After beginning the season as the first player off the bench, sophomore Kimberly Soriano (Queens, NY/Monsignor McClancey Memorial) has started the last six games for Utica… She is averaging 8.8 points in her last five games. 
 
Scouting Sage: The Gators are 10-10 on the year (5-6 Empire 8) and they are coming off a pair of losses to Nazareth and St. John Fisher last weekend… Sage is led by senior Emily Parslow, who is averaging 15.3 points per game.
 
Last Time vs Sage: Utica won its previous meeting against Sage this season by a score of 64-54… Briannah Florian (Fort Plain, NY/Fort Plain) led UC in scoring with 16 points and Sydney Przygoda (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) had 10 points and 18 rebounds for a double-double.
 
Up Next: The Pioneers will begin a two-game weekend road trip in Elmira to take on the Soaring Eagles on Friday night (5:30 p.m.) before traveling to Nazareth to take on the Golden Flyers on Saturday (2 p.m.).
