Tennis Closes out the Season at Houghton


Utica, NY - The Utica College men's tennis team looks to rebound from their current losing streak on Saturday as they travel to Houghton to take on the Highlanders in an Empire 8 conference matchup. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: The Pioneers lost to Medaille College on Wednesday. The win for the Pioneers came from the team of senior Paul Litvak (Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln) and freshman Ethan Trembley (Schenectady, NY/La Salle Institute).
 
Dancing Doubles: The doubles team of Paul Litvak (Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln) and Ethan Trembley (Schenectady, NY/La Salle Institute) have won five of their eight matches this season. Litvak and Trembley won 8-1 in the Medaille match against Albert Morales and Lachlan Beever.
 
Glance at the Standings: The Pioneers currently sit in 7th place in the Empire 8 conference with a conference record of 1-5.
 
Scouting Houghton: The Highlanders come into this matchup with a record of 9-4 this season. The Pioneers and Lakers last met last season, with the Highlanders taking the win 9-0.
 
Closing Out the Year: Saturday's matchup with Houghton will mark the final match of the season for the Pioneers. UC will not be competing in the conference tournament at the conclusion of the regular season.
