Ithaca, NY – The Utica College baseball team matched up with Ithaca College on Saturday for an E8 contest. The Bombers took care of business on their home field, defeating UC 13-1.
Josh Brickman (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool ) was the lone Pioneer to make contact for two hits on the day, batting 2-for-4.
Tim Quinlan (Monroe, CT/Masuck) was 1-for-3 with an RBI in the game and reached base once thanks to being hit by a pitch.
Ryan Palmer (Verona, NY/VVS) and Chris Ramsundar both went 1-for-4 at the dish, with Ramsundar scoring a run.
AJ Farina (Sherrill, NY/VVS) (L, 0-4) was given the losing decision after surrendering three earned runs in four innings of action on the hill. Relief pitchers

Brendon Sarnowski (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville), and TJ Labayewski gave up ten more runs before the game was over.
Ithaca was on the board with two runs in the first inning, and ended up holding a 3-0 lead going into the fifth inning. The Bombers would rally to score six more runs in the fifth inning on their way to a win.
UC is now 14-21 overall and 8-8 in Empire 8 play with just one regular season game remaining. The team will hit the road on Sunday to take on Elmira at 1 p.m. to close out the season.
