Utica, NY - The Utica College men's soccer team advanced to 3-1-1 on the season with 1-0 win over Clarkson Saturday night.

Junior Zackery Caporale (Clermont, FL/South Lake) scored the lone goal of the game in the 17th minute, which was assisted by senior Thomas Muller (Camillus, NY/Bishop Ludden).

A great back line effort combined with a lights out performance in the net from junior Randy Miksch (Lake Villa, IL/Warren Township) kept Clarkson scoreless for the duration, securing the third victory of the year for Utica. Miksch totaled eight saves en route to his first shutout of the season.

The Pioneers continue their five-game home stand this Tuesday against SUNY Potsdam at 7 p.m.
