Box Score Albany, NY - The Utica College women's soccer team advanced to 7-2 with a 2-0 shutout win over Sage on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Mikayla Blumenstock (Poland, NY/Poland) scored both goals for the Pioneers. The first came in the 38th minute and was assisted by junior Kierra Caissey (Gardner, MA/Gardner). The second and final goal of the game came in the 83rd minute and was unassisted.
Blumenstock now has a team-best 21 points on 10 goals and one assist. Caissey sits right behind her with 13 points on six goals and one assist.
This marks senior Allison Wagner's (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) second consecutive shutout and her sixth overall this season.
The Pioneers return home to host Hartwick College next Saturday at nooon.
