ROCHESTER, NY- The No. 3 seed Utica College field hockey team had its season come to an end Saturday as it fell to host and top-seeded St. John Fisher College 3-0 in the Empire 8 Conference Championship game.

Fisher got on the board just 3:23 into the game as Bre Socker scored her team-leading 16
th goal of the season off an assist by Gianna Palma. The Cardinals struck again just before the half as Audrey Grieb put in a deflection off a Palma shot for her fifth of the season.

The score remained the same until the closing ticks of the fourth quarter. Senior
Megan Chamberlain (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) came up with a huge stop on a penalty stroke to keep the score 2-0 with just 3:02 remaining, but Fisher responded just 16 seconds later with Grieb's second of the day.

Chamberlain finished with nine saves in the loss, while Sophie Trozzi made three saves in the win.
