UTICA, NY - The Utica College women's lacrosse team continues conference play on the road at Keuka College on Tuesday,. The contest starts at 7 p.m.

Last Time Out: Utica was tagged with their second conference loss of the season on Saturday against Nazareth College by a 15-9 score. The teams went back and forth with goals for the majority of the first half, before Naz used a 6-0 run in the last 10 minutes of the first half, and the early stages of the second half to take a 10-4 lead and ultimately put the game out of reach. Utica seniors Lauren Wolff (Peabody, MA/Peabody) and Stephanie Husnay (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) broke up the run with a pair of goals 39 seconds apart, but the Pioneers did not score consecutive goals for the remainder of the game as Nazareth preserved its advantage and went on to win. Addison Green (Marcy, NY/Whitesboro) (two goals), Samantha DeCondo (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) (two goals), Lexi Scaccia (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro), Aana Blaszka (Hampstead, NH/Pinkerton Academy), and Mara Cunningham (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) all pitched in goals in the 15-9 loss. Junior Claire Frier (Lafayette, NY/Lafayette) made 10 saves on the day.
Series with Keuka: Utica has not seen Keuka for a number of years. Their last meeting was a 19-4 win in 2015. Utica leads the series 5-1.
She Gets The Green Light: Junior attacker Addison Green (Marcy, NY/Whitesboro) opened the scoring for Utica on the day, after scoring off a free position opportunity early in the first half. Green would come back later in the first half to take advantage of a second free position opportunity and score. She has now scored at least one goal in the last five games. Green has 11 goals and one assist, for 12 points this season.
DeCondo Keeps It Going: Sophomore attacker Samantha DeCondo (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) upped her streak of multi-goal games to eight on Saturday with a two-goal performance. DeCondo scored one goal per half, with her second goal coming in at just under 10 minutes left in the game after a quick pass from Husnay. DeCondo is currently second on the team in points, with 25 goals and six assists for 31 points. She has also picked up 18 ground balls, caused nine turnovers, and won 10 draw controls. DeCondo has moved up to seventh in the conference for goals per game(2.27).
A First For Blaszka: Freshman defender Aana Blaszka (Hampstead, NH/Pinkerton Academy) scored her first collegiate goal on Saturday. Blaszka scored an unassisted goal halfway through the second half to bring the Pioneers within four goals of the Golden Flyers.
Defense?..Or Offense?: Another defender found the back of the net on Saturday, as freshman defender Mara Cunningham (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) scored for the second game in a row. Cunningham netted an unassisted goal halfway through the second half to mark her second collegiate goal.
Scaccia Scores Again: Junior attacker Lexi Scaccia (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) netted an unassisted goal on Saturday to bring her goal-scoring streak to 15 games. Scaccia leads the team with 30 goals and 16 assists, for 46 points this season. She has also picked up 19 ground balls, caused 16 turnovers, and won 40 draw controls. Scaccia moves up to fourth in the college's all-time draw controls won list, with 163. She is just six draw controls away from tying for third with Megan Kane '15. Scaccia is fourth in the conference for both assists per game(1.45) and points per game(4.18), fifth for goals per game(2.73), and seventh for shots per game(6.09).
