UTICA, NY - Infielder Sara Stransky (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) of the Utica College Softball team has been selected to the 2021 Empire 8 Softball Championship All-Tournament team. The honor was announced on Wednesday by the Conference offices located in Rochester, NY.
Stransky earns the nod for her performance at third base over three tournament games. She adds this award to her existing All-Conference honors from this season.
At the plate, she was 2-for-8 with three runs scored and an RBI, including a pair of hits in a loss to Sage. Defensively, she did not make an error in twelve total chances to continue an outstanding run of defensive play throughout the season.
The Pioneers wrapped up the season with fourteen victories.
