Danbury, CT- 12 Utica University athletes have received Eastern College Athletic Conference North monthly honors, as announced by the ECAC on Tuesday. 
 
The Utica University men's soccer team had three players named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference October Players of the month. Cody Baker-Green (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) was named Player of the Month for his terrific October and it is his second straight ECAC Player of the Month award. The junior totaled six goals and twelve points over the course of nine games. His shot-on-goal percentage was phenomenal as he netted six goals on just sixteen shots on goal during the month and his boot helped guide the Pioneers to an Empire 8 playoff berth. Teammate, Foti Xidias (Carteret, NJ/Carteret) was named Goalkeeper of the Month for his stellar play. Xidias tallied 47 saves through eight games with a .761 save percentage and one shutout. The junior was able to make some tough saves and keep the Pioneers in close games which helped them earn a bid to the Empire 8 Tournament. Lastly, freshman Nicholas Theimer (Flagstaff, AZ/Flagstaff) was named Rookie of the Month after he started to show his true potential. The Arizona native netted three goals and six points including his first-ever collegiate goal against Nazareth College on October 1. The most outstanding stat is how Theimer has netted three goals on just four shots on goal and his .750 shot-on-goal percentage proves how hot his shot has been and his elevated play has guided the Pioneers.
 
The Utica University volleyball team had three players named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference October Players of the Month. Eleanor Cepiel (West Sand Lake, NY/Academy of Holy Names) was named Offensive Player of the Month for the second consecutive month. The standout senior amassed 144 kills, 16 service aces, and 138 digs over the course of October. Cepiel is known for two-way play as she excels offensively and defensively and her month of well over 100 kills and digs proves just that. Teammate Krystell Pappas (Owensboro, KY/Owensboro) was named ECAC Defensive Player of the Month for her outstanding defensive play. The sophomore is best known for her maximum effort on every play as she is constantly diving on the floor and giving it her all. Pappas totaled a monster 177 digs throughout the month including eclipsing 20 digs in a game twice and reaching 25 once. The Kentucky native has also started to serve more and was able to record five service aces as she expands her game to help the Pioneers win games. Freshman Lauren Jones (West Winfield, NY/Mount Markham) has earned her second straight ECAC Rookie of the Month as her serving and defense continue to be phenomenal. The West Winfield native recorded 43 digs and 13 service aces, and 27 assists including a career-high 20 against Cazenovia. 
 
The Utica University women's soccer team had two players named to the ECAC October Player of the Month. Courtney Connolly (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) was named Goalkeeper of the Month for her fantastic month in net. The junior had 38 saves, a .810 save percentage, and an unbelievable five shutouts over just nine matches. Rylee Lamphere (Little Falls, NY/Dolgeville) was named Rookie of the Month as she has started to show her offensive skillset. The freshman recorded two goals and four points and has started to become a key piece of the offense and has started to touch the ball much more. Lamphere recorded 11 shots on goal this past month and her growing role in the offense hopes to help the Pioneers in the Empire 8 postseason.
 
The Utica University field hockey team had three players named to the ECAC October Player of the Month. Alyssa Pisano (Hopewell Junction, NY/Arlington) was named Offensive Player of the Month for her outstanding month over the nine games. The junior tallied a whopping eight goals, two assists, one game-winning goal, and 18 points. Her offensive firepower has helped guide the team to an Empire 8 postseason berth. Madison Ranalli (Cicero, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) has earned her second consecutive Defensive Player of the Month after she recorded a monster nine defensive saves. Ranalli has been a lockdown defender and has put her body on the line countless times to help keep the ball out of the net. She has 15 defensive saves this season which leads all of Division III and she holds a three-save lead over second place. Lastly, Alanna Fragapane (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) was named Rookie of the Month for her strong month in which she started to display her growing talent. The freshman was able to find the back of the net three times totaling six points. Her knack for finding the back of the net only seems to increase as the season goes on and she hopes to continue her scorching month into the Empire 8 postseason.
 
The Utica University football team had Corey Lichtman (Bellemore, NY/Mepham) earn his second straight Special Teams Player of the Month. The senior played well as he nailed four out of seven field goals including a 36 yarder against Hartwick. Lichtman was perfect on extra points as he went 18-18 on the month and his strong leg has helped the Pioneers earn a program-best 7-1 start.
