UTICA, NY - Utica University Head Football Coach Blaise Faggiano has been selected to speak at the American Football Coaches Association Convention on January 9, 2023. 
 
The AFCA Convention will be held from January 8-10 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
 
"Being Selected to Speak at the 2023 Convention is certainly an honor and highlight of my 30 years of coaching college football," Faggiano said. 
 
Faggiano, who has been an AFCA member since 1993, has served on the AFCA Division III Assistant Coaches Committee, AFCA Registration Committee and the AFCA Rules Committee. He was also a 2006 AFCA finalist for DIII Assistant Coach of the Year during his time at St. John Fisher University (College). 
 
As the Head Coach of the Utica football program since 2008, Faggiano has coached/staffed other AFCA honorees in Ryan Oliver, a 2019 AFCA Allstate Good Works Team selection, Tom Woodburn, a 2015 AFCA All-American, Nate Palmer (Verona, NY/Vernon Verona Sherrill), a 2022 AFCA First Team All-American and Joe Gerbino, the 2022 AFCA DIII Assistant Coach of the Year. 
 
Faggiano will be highlighted along with other speakers including Dabo Swinney (Clemson), Bret Bielema (Illinois) and Willie Fritz (Tulane) among others across all levels of collegiate football as well as high school football.
