UTICA, NY- The Utica University women's hockey team fell to nationally ranked No. 7 Nazareth College 5-1 Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale.
Utica wraps up the regular season with a 20-5 overall record and a 17-3 mark in UCHC conference play. 20 wins overall and 17 conference wins in a single season are new program highs for Utica. The Pioneers will await their opponent for the quarterfinal match up, which will be on Tuesday at the Adirondack Bank Center. Game time is 3 p.m.
Naz's special teams were the difference in this game as the Golden Flyers scored three powerplay goals and added a shorthanded tally to take a 4-1 lead late into the third period. An unassisted five-on-five goal with 5:10 remaining in the game sealed the deal.

Caley Susitti (Hartland, WI/Milwaukee Jr. Admirals) scored the lone goal for Utica, while classmate
Georgiana Santullo (Woburn, MA/Boston Shamrocks/Woburn High School) picked up the lone assist. Naz was led by Ally Watrous and Abbey Luth, who each scored twice in the win.
Senior
Savannah Gutierrez (Huntington Beach, CA/Anaheim Lady Ducks) finished with 30 saves, while Adrianna Brehm turned aside 23 shots for Naz.
